my best memory of Jim is when I brought my mom to church with me and he explained to us that this was the first time in YEARS that he hadn't worn a suit and tie to church. he was SO happy about it, and he always exuded joy to everyone he met!
My association with Jim Tozer began when I was in the third grade in W. Lafayette and he presented me with my first bible at Covenant Church. I have always considered him a primary spiritual influence in my life. Jim married us 36 yrs ago at the Glen Lake Community Reformed Church. My husband, Bruce, and I will always owe him a debt of gratitude for the prayers and love he has given on our behalf and on behalf of the members of our extended family. Our sons are grateful for the privilege of having known Jim and been challenged and encouraged by him. Jim has recommended our sons Jeff and Stuart to Wheaton College and Gordon-Conwell Seminary respectively and they have been the recipient of his wisdom. Our son Matt enjoyed Jim's humor and friendship at the Men's Bible Study on Sat. mornings. I thank the Lord for Jim in my life and appreciate more than anything his unwavering battle for the truth of the bible to be taught with boldness and love.
